At WFTV, from 2014-2018, I led this ABC large-market affiliate in cinematic production and advanced editing techniques, while also writing promos, helping lead the marketing and promotions department to 2x Emmy® award nominations, 1x win, 2x PromaxBDA Gold awards, and a station AP award within a span of three years for various image spots and on-air marketing campaigns.
The making of this Emmy® award-winning spot (above), in addition to ‘Hurricane Maria Aftermath’ in Puerto Rico, ‘Hurricane Irma Aftermath’ in Central Florida, the making of ‘Morning Aren’t Perfect’ a morning spot, and the tragic Pulse Nightclub mass shooting coverage which happened just a couple of miles from the station. In addition to broadcast news, we ran an in-house production company that serviced local and regional clients looking for TV spot production and placement, like this.
